Hollyburn athletes gathered at Whistler Olympic Park for a fun ski session during the winter break. Sponsored by a Kal-Tire SDP grant, this special event provided Track Attack skiers with the opportunity to connect with BC Ski Team athletes from Hollyburn during an on-snow training session. The session featured skill development drills and a series of engaging games. Thankfully, the worst of the wet weather held off, and spirits were high at the hot chocolate and cookie social that followed.

The goal of the ski day was to enhance skiing opportunities for Track Attack skiers while fostering camaraderie between SDP skiers and Race Team athletes. Leading the groups were Aidan Hay, Dustin Hay, Lucas Gitt, and Anna Segelken, with group assistants Noah Wilson, Andy Inkster, and Riley Hobbs.

We are grateful to our parent volunteers—Megan Scheffer, Andrea Hay, Chris Vipler, and Natalie Hull—who provided invaluable assistance. A special thank you to Whistler Olympic Park for hosting this session and for providing the Flex Space for the hot chocolate and Q&A session.

Finally, we would like to express our thanks to CCBC and Kal-Tire for sponsoring this special event.
